Pilates is a form of exercise similar to yoga, involving a sequence of movements focusing on core strength, posture, balance and flexibility. Pilates, rooted in the belief that mental and physical health are closely connected, has been proven to improve overall well being as well as general fitness. 

Some of the benefits of Pilates includes stress relief, improved bone density, weight loss, improved flexibility and back pain relief.

We offer an extensive health screening which includes a minimum of 10 movement patterns, which will allow the Pilates Therapist to gather information to determine the cause of movement and posture deficiency, resulting in pain.

This assessment consists of tests which require balance, stability and mobility. A thorough health screening is also done during the assessment.

25 Minute Posture Check to look for imbalances of muscles to establish proper posture. All clients are recommended to start with the Posture Assessment to allow the instructor to customize your sessions or your classes. If you are dealing with Chronic Pain or Injury it is recommended you start with the Rehabilitation Assessment.

It is a good idea to have an assessment every 3 to 4 months as your body and needs can change.
