pilates mat with props

Pilates mat with props class will focus on Strength, Flexibility, and Balance while improving your posture, breathing patterns and misalignments common for most of the population. This is an all level, in person class where you will be receiving personal cues and assistance. Space is limited so you will want to register early. Must register at least 24 hours in advance.

Mat All Levels

In this class you will learn to integrate breath and movement in a full body challenge. Utilizing the principles of Pilates, it will test your stability and technique in all levels format. This is a safe, yet challenging class with options to build a solid foundation for your Pilates Practice.

Pilaga

We combine strength, focus and balance of yoga postures with the stability that comes from Pilates sequences. This combines quick and slower tempo, while incorporating Pilates and Yoga to develop shoulder, core, and pelvic stability. Bringing the two modalities together offers an awesome combination that you will love.

Pfilates

The Pfilates program uses the principles of plyometrics and the control of Pilates to increase pelvic floor activity by up to 10x a standard Kegel exercise. Pfilates goes beyond Kegel exercises by using movements that condition the pelvic floor but also tone the thighs and butt. USing Pilates exercises based on extensive EMG recording taken from the pelvic floor, Pfilates was created to provide a widely accessible method of recovering or enhancing pelvic floor strength. This strength improves quality of life for all levels of fitness. Everyone can benefit from this class.

Pilates Sculpt & Roll

We’ll work with handheld weights, bands, and release tools such as foam rollers, soft and hard release balls. Join Catherine for 25 minutes of Pilates and 25 minutes of release work. This class is designed to offer a great balance between the two modalities. Your body will love you for doing it.

Reformer Circuit

This class will keep you moving as you transition from station to station conducting Pilates repertoire on apparatus such as the Reformer, Tower and mat conversion using attachments such as the push-through bar, roll-down bar and springs on the Tower. Guaranteed to keep you moving & thinking, it’s a faster-paced class that will keep you coming back for more.

Reformer Restore

For participants who need a little more TLC, this slower-paced, restorative beginner/intermediate level class is rooted in Pilates fundamentals. Participants will be provided with instructions regarding proper form and technique on repertoire performed in class that will restore alignment, flexibility, strength, balance and stability using both the reformer and various small props at a pace that meets their ability.

Reformer All Level

Our Reformer Pilates all level class is an open level, flow style class that uses exercises from the beginner, intermediate & advanced Pilates repertoire taught by a Full Comprehensive Instructor. The goal of this full-body workout is to strengthen, lengthen while creating intelligent movement.

Reformer Level 2

LEVEL 2 reformer is an intermediate level class that allows for stops and starts to teach the more complex intermediate exercises. This class is recommended for those who have been attending Level 1 Reformer Pilates classes for a while and you are ready to learn the intermediate exercises. This class will transition to the more complicated, more choreographed intermediate exercises. We will cover the basic principles more in depth and teach you the preparations for the more advanced exercises of the classical repertoire. You will be expected to know the basics, and to know how to set up the reformer to your personalized setting prior to registering for this class and it is paramount that all participants have undergone Level 1 training as a prerequisite prior to booking this class.

Reformer Level 3

Levels 1 & 2 are prerequisites for booking this Level 3 class. These reformer classes will flow with minimum pauses, as we expect class participants to have learned the intermediate and foundational exercises in previous levels. Class participants will be safely challenged at a true intermediate level without hurting themselves. At this level, class participants are required to possess greater control of their bodies, great coordination, concentration, strength, flexibility and endurance. Class participants are expected to possess a solid foundation of the traditional Pilates techniques prior to participating.

Chair All Level

Come and experience Pilates on the Chair in a group environment! Usually reserved for private classes, we’re bringing this piece of equipment to the group class environment so that participants can build core strength, leg strength, shoulder girdle stability, spinal mobility, as well as increase overall flexibility, stability and balance. We are one of only a few studios in the country offering full Exo Chair classes, which will guarantee to work your body in an entirely different way that the Pilates Reformer.

TRX Pilates

Utilizing the TRX suspension training system with Props such as gliders, Pilates Balls, Bosu, this class will produce a dynamic workout designed to challenge all levels using the Pilates Principles.

This class combines the strengthening exercises of both Barre and Pilates. It has a greater focus on cardio and faster movements. Prepare to sweat. (Online classes can include gliders and a circle band if they have them). All levels welcome.

This is an outdoor or park location class where you will be receiving personal cues with physical distancing. We will be using minimal props during this class. Space is limited so you will want to register early.

Come experience a “fresh-air” circuit-style functional fitness class in NW Calgary, taught by a Certified Group exercise instructor and full comprehensive Pilates instructor. As you transition from station-to-station you will work on increasing your strength, agility, and challenge your balance as you go through a series of exercises that will have you pushing, pulling, twisting, bending, lunging and squatting using the functional Energi “playground” system.
